Who We Are

The Coalition for America's Priorities is an independent 501(c) 4 corporation comprised of members from the business, non-profit and educational communities, and its mission is to win a responsible reform of the estate tax.

Objectives:
  • Central to CAP's mission will be an educational campaign to the general public. CAP will pursue an aggressive public education campaign that will include work with newspaper editorial boards and editorial page writers, polling, advertising, and grassroots efforts.

  • CAP will work to correct the myths promoted about the estate tax and refocus the discourse on the irresponsibility of advancing tax policy that benefits a select few (fewer than one percent of the population) to the detriment of many others.

  • CAP's members support a responsible reform alternative that reflects the priorities of the country by reducing the number estates that will pay an estate tax, while preserving critical revenue for important national priorities.
